T-Mobile Supporting Communities Following Tornadoes Across Central U.S.

April 27, 2024

Update: April 29, 2024

T-Mobile’s network is operating as usual across Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma and Texas.

T-Mobile’s emergency teams supplied generators to power Tractor Supply stores in Ardmore and Sulphur, OK, as well as connectivity to support their response efforts and community outreach. Tractor Supply is a lifeline in impacted communities, providing essentials like bottled water, generators, flashlights, gas cans and more that people need as they recover in the wake of the tornados. Our teams are currently located at the Tractor Supply store in Sulphur, OK (2900 W Broadway Ave, Sulphur, OK 73086) providing Wi-Fi, power for charging and charging supplies to anyone who needs it. We are also providing the same services at the Relevant Community Church in Elkhorn, NE (21220 Elkhorn Dr., Elkhorn, NE 68022).

Update: April 28, 2024

T-Mobile continues to keep those in communities impacted by storm systems in our thoughts. Our emergency teams are deploying to quickly support impacted communities and aid first responders across Oklahoma, Nebraska and Iowa and we’re monitoring the storms in Texas.

Here is the latest on our network and response efforts:

Network Update
In Nebraska and Iowa, our network continues to hold strong and is operating as expected. In Oklahoma, a small number of sites around Sulphur, Oklahoma City and Ardmore have been fully restored following power outages and wind damage. We’re deploying portable generators to restore the small number of sites that remain impacted.

Our team is vigilantly monitoring the storms passing through Texas and is ready to deploy additional equipment as needed.

Community Support
Our Community Support team has deployed at the community distribution center in Elkhorn, NE (21220 Elkhorn Dr., Elkhorn, NE 68022) providing Wi-Fi, pre-activated phones and charging supplies. Another team is ready to head to Ardmore and Sulphur, OK as road and weather conditions safely allow.

First Responders
Our Emergency Response team continues to work closely with state and local officials, first responders, public safety agencies and others to support their connectivity needs. We’re also working closely with our own partners, to aid their response efforts across the impacted areas.

Employees & Retail Stores
We're prioritizing the safety and support of our employees during this difficult time, and we’re checking in to understand any direct impacts to them and their families.

Our stores in Oklahoma, Nebraska and Iowa remain open. As the storm progresses, check local store hours using our store locator

We’ve activated our emergency teams and have taken important steps to help ensure customers, communities, first responders and others maintain the critical connectivity they need during this time. As we continue to keep a close eye on the storms across the central U.S., here’s how we’re working to support the communities we serve and the network they rely on:
